i have a lot of differant patterns that iam trying to tye up but i keep running into the problem of not having the hooks that some patterns call for.some of the patterns does not have a picture so ican get an idea as to what the hook looks like. others   I tie the flies on the hooks that I ahve.  I guress I am just not as much a purist as some other folks.  I suaually tie the flies on 3 or 4 size hooks any way.  Tie a few on Eagle Claw hooks becausd they are heavier, thatn some other others so they drop faster.     Rick
