Well i dont know about you guys, but I have insider information that many of
the streams are being stocked TOMORROW. 500 fish are going in right by my
house on Murray Hill, and I know all the hot spots. 1200 fish are being stocked by the savage mill.
Give em a week Eddie. Savage Mill is a dead stream by June but I have found some very interesting blue salamander like critters up above the mill. Nice stream if the swimming crowd (hundreds) didn't take it over in late May but doesn't the route 1 noise drive you nuts?
Again, i know a few spots. Is anyone
interested in fishing on sunday?? but will HOPEFULLY be tearing the trout up on sunday. Egg
Patterns, Pellet Patterns, San Juan Worms, Wolly Buggers, maybe even some
corn flies. These are hatchery fish, so dont get involved in matching the
hatch, it wont do you good.
Isn't there a week closing after every stocking? Try the dam in Laurel, a hike upstream from the swimming pool. Some real queer looking bass in there with the trout. Green weenies and Honeybugs will be the preferred patterns. Meanwhile, I'll be fishing Monday with little black stoneflys and winged black ants for fish with only one head at a stream a bit less urban. ;-)
Oh, Pine Creek in PA should get about 35,000 in the next few weeks.
