Maybe its like brookies having a sweet pink flesh if they are eating natural food versus hatchery chow. Carp over here tend to eat the crud in the mud and the flesh tastes like mud to me. Steelhead from the Great Lakes taste off to me too, given that the pcbs, mercury and other toxins. Murf |
