Wes,
We have fished them in the slough here by St. Helens. We haven't had luck
with fly gear yet but then again I haven't fished them in a couple years. We
did hook into some big ones on the ultra light spinning gear one time and oh
what a blast in the canoe. If you really get the itch bad enough and are out
this way I could take you out in the canoe to where they are. I can get you
to the fish but can't promise any hook ups as it is a bit muddy and those
suckers spook easy. But never the less we always have fun and just seeing
the mud turn up and the water ripple all around the canoe as you slide
through is exciting almost eerie.

Like I said if you're in the Portland area and don't mind making the extra
30 minute drive to St. Helens let me know and I'll be more then glad to show
you the spot that I know of.
