Love the description of the wind: "Unless you’ve experienced this firsthand, it’s difficult to convey the power of the wind in this area. If you live in a coastal area subject to hurricanes, or in Tornado Alley, you’ve had a taste of it. Breezes of up to forty miles per hour don’t even bear mention, fifty to sixty is commonplace, seventy to eighty will merit a mention on the weather forecast, and gusts over a hundred are not exactly rare. For example, the winds in this area have blown freight trains off the tracks. As you might guess, these sorts of breezes can make fly-casting problematic!"
