It's that time again so if you're interested let us know. NoArk VIII will be held this year during the week of June 2nd through the 9th at Bull Shoals State Park in Lakeview, AR. Situated below Bull Shoals Dam, the State Park features 105 campsites along the river--eight Premium Class A sites, 77 Preferred Class A sites, 20 tent sites with no hookups, two "Rent-A-Camp" sites and one "Rent-An-RV." Park facilities include picnic areas, standard pavilions, playgrounds and trails. A trout dock offers boat, motor and canoe rentals, supplies and equipment; and gifts. >From Mountain Home, travel 6 miles north on AR 5, then 8 miles west on AR 178 to the park.

Although the official conclave is from Friday to Sunday, I would suggest that you consider coming early or staying later to take advantage of all the fishing opportunities available. Conclave Central will be at campsites 75-76 for fishing information. Maps and/or info will be available of spots and accesses to fish on the White and Norfork Rivers. At this time we are planning to have an informal gathering Friday night at Conclave Central. Our traditional BBQ/Potluck will be held Saturday evening at Conclave Central. Note that we do not have the pavilion reserved as in the past. Everyone provides their own meat and a side dish, salad or dessert to share. Please let us know if you are planning to attend this year. It is helpful to know how many people are coming and what dish they plan to bring to the BBQ. We will also need someone to provide paper plates and plastic utensils, etc. in place of a potluck dish. Each tier should tie 1 dozen flies to be given to Larry by Friday evening, June 6th if possible. If you are still tying your swap flies on Saturday, don't sweat it. Just get the flies to me as soon as you can. Please supply small toe tags for your flies.
