Here's my list:

CROWLEY LAKE...easily the Best Stillwater Trout fishery in California... anywhere from 9 inch "dinks" to Monsters that will try to eat 3 year old children... Really starts rocking big time after the "Trophy Trout Season" kicks in August 1st...

BRIDGEPORT RES. A Sleeper to alot of Flyfishers, But you can get into some serious action during the summer working the extensive weedbeds. A Shallow lake, but alot of fun...unless the winds start Jet skiing you across the lake.

LAKE MARY.... Near Mammoth Lakes... The "Stump Yard" always in a great bet for the Large Browns that inhabit the lake...

TWIN LAKES, Mammoth Lakes area.... there are at least 5 "twin Lakes" in the Sierra Nevada. these twins are personal favorites. one of the few lakes in the Sierra where you can drive to them & probally catch Brook Trout...at the Waterfalls on the Upper lake... very fun, shallow lakes to fish.

KIRMAN LAKE... THE lake to catch the Biggest Brook Trout in the State... isolated(somewhat) & a crap shoot everytime... sometimes you are into 2 to 4 pound brookies almost every cast, other times you'll swear all the trout hoped a bus & left town. very much worth the 3 mile hike or Mountian bike ride with Float tube to the lake everytime....

there are others..but I've not fished them as much as these so I'm still in the "New Comer Learning Phase" on them....

Of course since i live in California, all the Lakes I fish are as well.....
