About a week ago I was in Eugene, Oregon at the NW
tying Expo cleaning up after making a huge mess at my table when I ran into Tim
Paxton. Tim is the same Tim Paxton that makes and sells Paxton Buggy Dubbing
offered by Umpqua. Any way,
he was telling me about a couple of young kids , I mean 12-14 year old guys
that asked him if he would put together some dubbings packs for few popular flies that they wanted to sell as kits . Tim
gathers up a bunch of these colors and sends them off along with the $40.00
check the kids sent as payment. He tells them to use the money to get their business
going. The kids then called Tim to thank him when he drops a bomb shell on
them, he says, send me a buck and the Paxton Dubbing business is yours! They are now the proud new owners!
Just a neat thing that brought a smile to my cynical face……….
