Junaid, There are dozens of patterns out there called 'flashback' nymphs. The 1st time I remember using reflective materials was putting a piece of tinsel either above or below the Swannundaze wraps on the tail of a stonefly. Those who remember that material can tell you the time period this is. Under the Swan called for a clear color, whereas over the Swan called for a wire ribbing follow-up to recreate the segments.
That gives me an idea. We were very limited on the 'flash' materials back then. There are tons of them today. I gotta pull down my box of Swannundaze and try some of the new pearls and holographics under the Swannundaze. Could look pretty awesome. Back to the bench. :o) Some styles to look up: Flashback nymphs, flashback scuds, mirror minnows. As far as fishability, it's worked both ways for me. Sometimes flash is the ticket, other times not.
