Thanks for the reply, SJHassan....but it's a different body of water. This is the Owens river in California. While there really isn't any limestone to be had....and not a bunch of farmland in that neck of the woods...there tends to be a big increase in water flow in May (all those pesky Angeleno's wanting water or something like that).
