Get a pair of Hodgeman Feather Lites. Under $100.00. Mine are holding up nicely.

Hey Ed. I've had lots of bad cuts and bruises wet wading the Gunpowder and Pax. I'll be ending school on the 20th of June and leaving for the UK on the 29th of June and returning August 15th, so lol, fishing will be tough. I have a pair of Flo- Lite hip waders which are very comfy despite thier being so torn up, and a pair of surprisingly light Red Ball waders, which are only for winter use (they're hot as a furnace). I guess i should invest in a pair of Orvis breathables.....
searching venues for earning pesos for a pair of expensive waders :-)) SJHassan, from MD.

Juniad, I spend 2 weeks of the summer on the North Branch of the Susquehanna wet wading. Nothing but shorts, a shirt, and regular old sneakers. You can use a vest, or those Tals wading systems. We used them last year, and I loved them. They go for about 50 bucks, but if you wet wade alot, its the way to go. Also, when you slip on the rocks...or find the occasional REALLY deep hole, they'll help you float for a few seconds before you plunge under, so you can call for help and all your buddies can look and laugh at you. Dont worry about cuts and bruises, we have young skin, they'll heal up.
Just invest in some cheap sneakers with decent treds...nothing it going to help you on slippery rocks, my buddy had those expensive wading boots and he went down.
Where are you thinking of wet wading? I know of some good rivers we could fish together if your interested. Im trying to get a small-ish group up to Duncanon to do some smallie fishing. Anyone else interested?

I want to go wader-free during the summer because of the heat, but worried because of all the underwater rocks and whatnot which might not be too good. I am basing this on how torn up my waders have become in less than two years of use...they didn't have Kevlar covering of course. But nonetheless, any suggestions on what i can do about hot waders and underwater edges??
dreamin about a stream, a coupla fish, and mebbe a nice sub sandwitch with lemonade...:-) SJHassan, from hot 'n humid MD.
