This is what we did last summer when our well was semi-dry: Two 55-gallon 
Rubbermaid plastic 'trash' buckets we filled with water and put one each in 
the upstairs bathrooms and two in the basement as backup among with three 
BIG barrels (I don't know the manufacturer they were pretty old but i 
estimate them at at least 60-70 gallons) behind the house (under the porch 
so the sun's UV rays wouldn't cook and fragment the plastic)...in cool 
weather it was one mad yell we let out when taking a shower but in hot 
weather, the cool water was heavenly...try it. The system hasn't failed us 
since.

I hope so to, got quotes today on punching a new well, they ran from $3800
to $5500. I don't know exactly what we are going to do with prices like
that. I may have to figure a way to dig one myself, the well pulled down
today at 3 PM so it is getting worse.

Good Lord man thats terrible! 4 years in an alreaady fragile climate like a
desert jeez man i Do hope it gets better once this El Nino reverses to
default climate conditions
