Del,

Nah, the fishing in Arkansas really sucks.  After all, who would want to sight fish to big lunker browns on the White, that often times exceed 36" in length.  It was terrible I tell ya, just terrible.  I sat out on my porch at night at the Wildcat Shoals resort, and listened to what sounded like a bus being dropped out the back end of a C-130 aircraft hitting the water.  According to Phyllis and Mike, the wonderful owners of the resort, that's just the fishy's coming out to play.  They joyfully leap clear of the water, and slam back on their sides.  I dunno, maybe they have an itch or something.  Went fishing on the Nor'Fork too.  Just disgusting.  Sight fishing to browns and cuts that easily exceeded 2' in length.  Jeez, almost makes me to never want to go back...  Well, okay, I'm going back in October...  <VBSEG>

Has anyone done any fishing in the state of Arkansas? I am wondering about the White River and the North Fork River. I need info on what flies to use and what methods to apply. I will be there at the end of March/begining of April. Any information would be helpful.
