Well folks sorry for not responding to a lot of mail,
Our lovable little cat "Jenny Joe" is dead. Night before last the
coyotes were real thick and close. Evidently they caught him out away from
the house and attacked him. Late yesterday evening he managed to make it
home, I found him crawling across the yard. Theresa and I were up all night
doing what we could but at about 4:30 this morning he died. We had called
the vet, but there was nothing they could do. This was "Theresa's" cat. He
would come in every morning and sleep on her pillow till it was time to get
up, then kiss her on the nose till she turned on the TV. It has hurt Amanda
and myself very much, but Theresa is heartbroken.
This evening Theresa ask me if I still had my traps, then she ask me if
I still liked to hunt coyotes. We have lost 8 cats and kittens to coyotes in
less than a year because no one is controlling the population explosion of
them here. Now mind you, Theresa has always had an aversion to hunting and
trapping, but understood the need for it. Now she "Wants as many of them
dead as I can get". She even offered to help me clean the traps and bye
ammo, ( big change for her).
So, now for the fly fishing part of this, depending on how it goes, I
may have a lot of coyote and fox pelts to trade or sell as soon as the
weather cools.
Please keep Theresa in your prayers, Jenny was a good friend to all of
us, but especially to her.

Cleaning traps and planning sets, for this fall and winter,
Jimi
