Hi Shawn, Never been there but the saltwater fly fishing magazines (as well as some of the more general ones) have been focusing on Belize quite a bit. I'll see if I can dig up specific issues. Oh, and are you SURE you can't hit those flats? ;->

Hopefully you'll be staying at the Radisson Fort George... I've been told that you can catch snook off the rocks/jetty around there. I'd avoid the Belize river in the immediate vicinity of Belize City...unless you like fishing in a sewer. This is a 3rd world country where people pee & poop right in the street, and a considerable percentage of the vehicles there are stolen American cars. Fish after work, but NOT after dark or close to it...! Oh flies, the can't miss saltwater stuff, clousers & deceivers in white, chartreuse/white, blue/white. Abel anchovies also work well. All in sizes 1/0 - 3/0. Have a great trip, and I do hope you get to fish. Be careful! Tom Tully, PA-C [EMAIL PROTECTED] Idaho Falls, Idaho
