    LARRY,
Might i make a few suggestions to cure "the Genetic Neck woes"????
I tye the hackle tip wings on my Adams with either Grizzly Hen neck
feather tips or I'll locate a En-expensive Chinese or Indian Grizzly
Necks... I find that I like the look of the Genetic Hen Neck tips,
Broader & fuller...seems to to my eyes to be easier to spot on the
stream..... Also I will often keep the trimmed off tip sections of
genetic Rooster hackles just for such a purpose. i figure I've
already used the main part of the hackle for wrapping a hackle and
find the clipped tip section is often long enough to get a securely
tyed in wing.... A plus to the Whiting Hen Necks is that a grade one
is around $20 +/- add you can also tye Soft hackle/Spiders a plenty
with them...besides the bigger ones will produce some lovely Matuka
type Streamer Patterns.
Those bits of information should provide enough excuses to purchase
said Hen Neck.....

  Food for Thought,
    DEAN...
