Del I hate to inform you but cats do kill for "sport", it is in their genetic makeup. How else would you explain why a well cared for feline would kill other animals? It sure isn't for the food. I have seen cats that I knew were well taken care of pounce and kill animals, then after the kill they walk off and leave the carcass there. If that isfor fun or pleasure then I don't know what is.

       I have never seen that myself. I have never heard of such a thing either. OK, I retract the cat statement.
