but speaking of floppies (Ed, this is ff-related!) -- did someone ever try to use floppy disks as tying material? I'm speaking of the magnetic disk, which is in the case. Maybe usefull for wingcases or similar..

While cleaning out the shop this morning, about 4:30, I cam across a 4 old disk boxes, some for 3.5 and some for 5.5 floppies. Not wanting to throw anything away, ( that's probably why they were there), I set them on the bench. A bit ago I was setting there having a cup of coffee and it hit me, they would make "Great" storage boxes on the fly tying bench. Sure enough small dubbing zip locks fit and stack perfectly in the 3.5 boxes with partitions so you can label the material. Feather and fur bags fit just right in the old 5+ boxes. The hinged locking lid keeps the cats out as well as any dust and you can see through it.
Just a thought to organize the mess. Jimi
