I make them just as Henk has described..learned how from the site and from
Hans  Weilenman. I find, that for my use, which is trout and fresh water
fish, that the thread leader is much better than is the mono..not so stiff
and casts much better in small stream with bushy side spaces.  The mono is
OK for reservoir fishing or on a big river,such as the Missouri for pike.  I
believe that once you've used the thread leader for trout, you may be
spoiled for life.  Good luck. Joyce
