To all of you who have chimed in, (build your own. It's simple. It's cheap. etc. etc.). All this "listens" really well, but please keep in mind that some of us are limited by the time and the "know how" that it takes to make our own furled leaders. And, there are some of us who do not have the inclnation to make our own. I fall into the latter group. I've made my own before, but frankly, it doesn't interest me like tying flies does. Therefore I'll keep getting my furled leaders from Del. I'm familiar with his quality workmanship and since I'm going to buy my fuled leaders anyway, I'd rather spend my bucks with a VFB member.

If you want to build your own, fine. If you want to buy them, fine. I seem to recall that the last time we got into a discussion about furled leaders, I wound up presenting a plaque to Paul Marriner for being the "ring leader" in perpetuating the longest running thread in the history of the VFB, or was it "Spine vs Spline" :-P

The main difference in my leaders and some of the others is that mine
are made from one continuous strand, whereas others are made from 2 "legs".
Also, I believe that I am the only person that guarantees their leaders for
a
year.
