We had a duck that did the same thing. He drank anti-freeze and spun around about three times and died!.
I teach auto mechanics and one of the safety lessons we have is about the toxicity of ethylene glycol (anti-freeze). It is so deadly that Oregon has a law that states, to wit; to sell anti freeze there, a bittering agent must be added to make it less appetizing to animals and children. That is how toxic it is.
Ethylene glycol may or may not be a good mosquito deterrent, but it is a hazardous material and must be handled as such. There is an MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) out on it as to how it is to be handled and disposed of. If one were to get caught dumping anti freeze out on the ground heavy fines can be levied.
I realize that the original thread was about lemon fresh Joy, but since you broached the subject of anti freeze, I thought I would join in.

Here's a tip that was given at a recent gardening forum:
Put some water in a white dinner plate and add a couple drops of Lemon Fresh Joy dish detergent. Set the dish on your porch, patio, or other outdoor area.
Not sure what attracts them, the lemon smell, the white plate color, or what, but mosquitoes flock to it, and drop dead shortly after drinking the Lemon Fresh Joy/water mixture,and it is usually within about 10 feet of the plate.
Check this out---it works just super!
It may seem trivial, but it could help control mosquitoes around your home, especially in the South and elsewhere where the West Nile virus is reaching epidemic proportions in mosquitoes, birds, and humans.
