Subject: [VFB] Denver bound...abit of
assistance please
I'll be heading to Denver in early September for the big Flyfishing
Retailer Convention. My Boss man, Wayne, is footing my plane fare & Motel
fees... Very cool I'd say.
Anyway, I'll have an additional 3 days to run around & flyfish
(That will be suffering for my Job, but you have to do what you have to do).
As you all know I Love catching the Various Native species... So
since I'll be in the Native range I want to go after GREENBACK CUTTHROATs (O.
Clarki Stomias).
What I'd like to know...Anyone on this fine list know of Streams
that are somewhat easy to hike to that have Native Populations of
Greenbacks???? within reasonable driving distance of Denver???? I have read
that the Greenback's native range is the South Fork of the PLate River &
the Arkansas river as well.
I have also read about the restoration projects going on &
about a number of Waters that contain self substaining populations
again...
I figure some folks on this List can offer assistance of some
degree..
Finally, does there exsist & can someone aqquire for me a Trail
map of the Rocky Mountian National Park area????? I have aqquired afew stream
names in the Park that supposedly contian Native Greenbacks...
THanks in advance for any & all assistance....
DEAN....
