One thing I always try to keep in mind is "low light=dark colors, bright
light=bright colors". the same holds true in muddy vs. clear water. Back
when I use to gear fish for steelhead in the early morning and in the
evening when light was at a minimum black corkies were one of my best
colors. I think it has more to do with the silhouette showing up better, the
brighter or lighter colors just wash out with low light.

My 2 cents

Jim
