Not really, Yes, it is a semi-imitator of Pteronarcys, but salmon don't eat 
it, but summer steelhead do.

And yes, summer steelhead rise to Pteronarcys and eat them. But salmon proper 
don't eat a darn thing, except aggressively hit flies that are bothering 
them.
