Macauley Lord suggests video taping yourself in his American Angler Sept/Oct 2003 article. If you have access to one it could help pinpoint some of those no-nos that are hard to see.

Recently I've been teaching myself :) to double haul. It seems to be working out about 75% of the time. But it's creating a new problem for me. I'm throwing a lot of closed or really sagging loops. I'm getting more distance and speed, but I'm watching the line in front of me, and it's closed - sometimes to the point of tangling the tippet with the bottom of the loop.
And then there's the sagging back cast. I'm tangling up in fences, never mind trees.
I may be breaking my wrist on the back cast. I can't figger that out for myself for some reason.
I'd like to correct these problems.
Any suggestions?
