You have my hand. I enjoy the challenge. I happen to have a thing about
BOOBBERS. It is a personal thing and this does nit reflect on any one
that uses them. They do the job but not for me. This morning Mike and I
hit the river. What a great morning, Calm not a cloud in the sky and
about 65* F.
First Thing when I got out of the boat is I had not put my fly box back
in my vest. I had also tangled my leader the last time I was out and had
not replaced it. Mike started fishing and and almost as soon as he made
the cast he was on to a fish. I had to borrow a fly from him. He gave me
one of his killer red flies. I could not do a thing with it, while mike
was catching quite a few nice trout. Mike was using a BOBBer, I was not.
The end result was that I did not land a fish all morning. Had three
LLR. I had a great morning just being out with a good friend. I guess it
goes the same about a fish finder. if you are happy using it then use it
if you have a thing about it then stay away from it.
I really don't think it has a place in Fly Fishing. As one list member
said, he would like it to see the bottom not looking for fish.
I think I might of stepped on my own tail.
