I've only saltwater fished a few times, and only once with a fly rod, (got skunked). Caught a couple bluefish off a party boat once, lol. I know, i know, it's incredable and fantastic and, and, and.......but i just don't seem to have the hankering to do it that much. What i love is to be wwwaaayyy up a mountainside somewhere all by myself and stalkin' brookies. I guess we all have our favorite situations. I think fishing along is the absolute best way because it's just you and God, (nature). Although i love to fish with my wife and others also. My wife is the captain of the Japanese National Fly Fishing Team, Team Japan, so she's a complete nut case when it comes to fishing. But, i still like to fish alaone the best. When i fish with her i'm always worried she'll fall in, or get lost, or something, (snake bite, lol). Or, i just stop fishing and watch her cast because she does it so well, i get mesmorized, lol. Am i weird or WHAT, don't answer that. LOL. Have a good one. mark

I'm glad to hear you're alright Juniad. I was thinking of you guys yesterday. We didn't get nearly what we expected. The surf is very dangerous and we have the rain now but it isn't going to amount to anything here. As long as you avoid the urge to "walk on the beach and see the waves" you'll be good. So probably no safe saltwater fishing here for a couple more days. The high waves and rip tides keep getting people that wander too close. It's gotten a few boats also.
I hope everyone else in your area is alright.
