I use 4 packets of cool aid 6 oz of water and 2 oz vinegar. It doesn't have
to be very hot, the hotter it gets the more the hide is going to harden. Mine
hardened and all I was able to do was cut off the fur and use it as dubbing.
I have since been told that after taking the strips out of the water to
stretch and break the fibers in the skin, it will then be soft.
