Greetings!
Everyone's had a chance to see at least one box now. I just sent out my second (Green) box a couple of days ago and it's really impressive.
I would like to remind everyone of John Martinez' (see below) urging you to insure the boxes for $300 when you mail to the next PERPer on the list. Insured mail is considered "accountable mail" by the post office and is handled differently from priority and first class mail.
We presently have 2 boxes (Red and White) that may be lost. Please spring for the extra few dollars to keep this swap going.
I write this with some trepidation because someone may take me up on it. BUT, if you don't wish, cannot afford, etc., to insure the boxes when you mail them, please consider asking to be removed from future circulations. It's just not fair to the next tyer (and all those following) on the lists to not insure it.
I think you'll find the commitment to insure is worth it when you see the contents of these boxes.
Thanks.
Regards,

John's original swap page http://www.geocities.com/jodemior/SwapPage.html
included the following suggestion regarding mailing the boxes:

"***Please use priority mail (2-3 day delivery) whenever possible. This will help speed things up. Please buy insurance for the package. If it gets lost, we can donate the money to a flyfiishing or conservation group. With 150 or more flies in each box, the retail value is in excess of $300.00. There's no way to make this mandatory, but if everyone will do it, it will be fair. The cost is not that much."
