Hey All, My wife and I just got back from four days of fishing the ST Mary River rapids. All I can say is wow! Imagine if you can pools filled with salmon, some with 100 of more fish in them! I was not uncommon to have better than 30 hookups in about 4 to 6 hours of fishing. Landing them is another story all together! We finally managed to land a few when we went to a 20 pound tippet. Anything less and you could not keep the fish in the pool; once in a rapid kiss it goodbye! Also with the sharp rocks light leaders just got cut off on them. Oh yeah we caught a few browns and steelhead too.
