Loxy: Is there an opportunity to actually cast this rod, and see how it loads and unloads? Put a line on it and work it over in the back yard. You can get a pretty fair idea from that, even if you can't take it to the water. I have a 8'6" 6wt RPL that I use for everything. Wrapped it myself. Love it. Good luck
