Deb, i took M.M's. class at the Danbury show last Jan. and we used that stuff for bodies. That class was a gas. Mike is a gas himself. Hope he's doing well? Have you heard how he is? I have heard he's been very sick. Let me know what's up if you have an update. domo, mark

Hallmark sells fountain bows made out of a mirage ribbon.     I first saw
Mike Martinek taking these apart and using them to wrap the shank of his
streamer fly.    They look very nice and are a little wider than the stuff
you get at the fly shop so it is faster to cover the shank of the hook.  He
coats this with sally hansen and you could also rib it with wire in the
opposite direction if you wanted.   Would probably make a nice spey or
steelhead fly body also.
