He was teaching at the October UFT meeting in MA, other than losing quite a 
few pounds he was his usual self, and we talk monthly, I have to get his 
patterns for the Roundtable newsletter I edit by phone, he is not yet 
computerized.  He and I are both products of UMass at Amherst, he being a 
Jr when I was a freshman, we both took away the lesson of taking life with 
a smile and rolling with the punches, every once in a while that can catch 
up with you.
