OK,
Jimmy...
Here's
mine 1990 Isuzu Trooper. It's very boxy which makes it very roomy. I've probably
seen it in some of my photos. I've built a plywood platform that can be
installed as a bed that sleeps two. So I take the back seat out and put that in
during the summer. It essentially doubles my storage space and provides a
comfortable and sturdy sleeping platform (after laying down a camping mat &
sleeping bag). It also allows us to camp in grizzly country where tents aren't
allowed. I then can store all of my camping/fishing adventure stuff under the
platform. I generally don't leave my stuff in the vehicle when I'm just driving
around. If I think I might want to stop somewhere during my regular travels I'll
lunk the stuff around for a few days. I'm able to store everything I need, food,
cooler, all camping supplies, tools, even sometimes books. Especially maps &
fishing guides rods, reels, tying kit etc. I call it my RV. 4x4 6 cyl. not too
bad on gas. Kind of gutless on the passes but has done just fine in all of my
4x4 situations. I also have a rack I can put on top for a small boat or pontoon
boat. I love this thing, when it dies I hope I can find another. The new ones
just don't have the room.
