I've bought a few decent salmon hooks from Dai Riki. They seem to make a decent salmon hook. The type you'd use for fishing, not for show flies though. mark

In town here, everyone carries 95% mustad, and 5% tiemco, the 5% being scud hooks I believe.

It's interesting that you can find Mustad fly Tying hooks in your local fly shops... out here in So Cal, I know of only one fly shop that sells Mustad...Marriott's, and even their selection is slim... I guess So Cal tyers really don't care for them that much nowadays or the shops just don't care to carry too many brands. The only time I've seen any at my Shop was on the Clearance table. Wayne, the Owner, had aqquired old stock from a defunct shop & offered them. I bought up the "Antique " Mustad hooks... for my Collection... pretty sweet getting somemore "Historical Hooks" in my collection....
