congratulations..and be sure to save the Grentzen, the piece of hair that
goes down the middle of the back..wonderful long stuff that ties great..then
be sure to save the pieces around the neck, the legs..well in short, there
is almost none of it that isn't worthwhile. I'm most fortunate..that my
brother in law hunts and saves hide for me..he, too, got his elk. I also
make him save the tails.  Just clean them of all meat and fat, salt heavily
with Borax, and you're set for a year or more of nice tying. Joyce
