Yep...back by popular demand...the next Whiting Co-Op is being launched.

You may have missed out on the last ones...or wished you had signed
up for more when you saw what a great deal they were...or this is the
first you have heard of such a thing. Here's a fantastic opportunity
to get your hands on some of Whiting Farms premium hackle products at
stupendous prices. Thank DonO for the idea and Tom Whiting for his
whole-hearted endorsement. Only on the VFB through Line's End...no
where else is this concept being presented.

A brief synopsis...

Basically Whiting Dry Fly Saddles are plucked and divided amongst the
participants. For each grouping to which you subscribe, you will
receive a very generous package of hackles in the colors presented.
Each pack is well in excess of Whiting's own popular 100 Packs.
Select individuals (pluckers) will do the dismantling and packaging
of the feathers and they will then be distributed among all the
participants.

This go-around will include some items that many of you have
requested...Spey Hackle, FlatWings and Brahma Hen Saddles. Some of
these will require handling that is not consistent with past Co-Ops
due to the impracticality of the traditional methods.

Being offered are...

Three groups of Whiting Silver Rooster Saddles. Whiting's bread and
butter...these are the finest hackle feathers available ANYWHERE!

One group of Whiting Midge Saddles. If you tie dry flies that are
size 18 and below...these feathers are for you.

Two groups of Whiting FlatWing Saddles. The growing popularity of
flatwing streamers has created a market for larger sized, long hackle
feathers. These are perfect and come in some great attractive colors.
They are also wonderful used in larger sized dries and wooly buggers.
(Tell us all about them Deb.)

Two groups of the new Whiting Spey Capes. You can't get Heron
feathers in the States...but you can get just as good. These are
incredible! (Does Bob H like these?) Because these gems will be near
impossible to pluck and sort, they will be divided into 1/3rds...so
each participant will end up with two full capes (2 lefts, 2 rights,
2 middles). This will allow each person to obtain a complete size
range for each color. Due to availability, this group won't be
completed until after the first of the year, but it does have to be
ordered by the sign-up deadline.

One group of the new Whiting Brahma Hen Saddle. A wonderful
substitute for partridge hackle and much easier to tie with. Nicely
mottled and dyed to some great shades. Like the Spey capes these will
be divided similarly. You will get 1/2 of four colors...total 2 full
pelts.

Some ground rules...

Sign-up deadline is December 15. Because of logistics, some color
adjustments may have to be made.

All shipping charges are included in the listed prices.

Pluckers are NEEDED! Unfortunately, to avoid delays, pluckers must
reside in the USA. Please don't volunteer as a plucker unless you can
reasonably perform your duties in a very short time. All packaging
materials and return shipping will be provided.

Acceptable forms of payments include MasterCard, Visa, Discover,
PayPal, Checks and Money Orders. Actually cash works too...;^) All
credit card payments will be billed after December 15th.

A web
page...<http://www.linesend.com/product/whiting_swap.shtml>...has
been set up to aid in your decisions. All groups are listed and
described.

A little Bonus...

I'd like to offer all Co-Op participants a special discount on the
rest of Whiting's extensive line-up of fine products. So add any of
Whiting's goodies to your Co-Op order and receive an extra 10%
discount on those items.

So, the time is now...sign up early so you don't get left out on your
favorite group. Think Christmas...wouldn't this make the perfect
present for that fly tyer on your list?

Check your hook supplies too...time is running out on this year's
Daiichi and Dai-Riki hook sale.

Thanks and keep tyin'...byard
