Stewart Brook is 70 ft. behind the house, my western property line is the middle of the brook. And the Willowemoc is 225 ft. from the house to the left/north, and the bank is my property line. House faces east. We're bout ........well i'd say less than one river mile above Junction Pool, where the Willowemoc and the Beaverkill join. During the season, i don't need to start a truck engine to go fishing. And i could walk to the No-Kill and fish the rest of the year if i wanted to. But i don't fish much from now till April. I used to be much more a fanatic about it, but nowdays i just enjoy living here so much that i'm happy just to be here. I lived one hell of a fast paced and hectic lifestyle for so long, that living here is such a relief. This is the first house i've ever owned, and the only one i've ever lived in since i left home to go to college. It was always apts. in cities, S.F. and N.Y.C. Taxis, busses, ambulances, cop cars, garbage trucks, laundry trucks, delivery trucks, and on and on and on day and night. Here nothing practically at all, and after dark, "forget about it." I LOVE IT! At night, i can open the skylight in my bedroom up in the loft, and hear the brook. "On the money," thank you very much. mark(willow)

Hey Mark, must be nice living up there in fly fishing heaven. Must be really ruff having to fish all those historic trout streams.

Hey Jimmy, lol i have both the book and the video, (watched that thing 50 times before i took her Fly Casting Instructors Course) and i feel there is no better casting video out there. May be many equal, but none better. One of the classiest persons i've ever met and had the great fortune to consider a friend. And the new hubby Ted, is a real cool fellow himself. Ties a heck of a one feather mayfly. mark

I reacted to Mom's dilemma as a boatman with the strong thought forming in my young mine, " It's better to be the fisherman than the rower."
