[VFB] White Flies

I have been experimenting lately with a variety of streamers that are 
predominantly or entirely white, excluding any color that may be in the 
flash, bead heads, etc.  My results have been quite good with regard to 
catching fish.  Has anyone else found white to be an effective color?
