I had a problem with a pair of Danners also. One boot
was fine and fit great; the other kept stretching and
stretching and stretching...it ended up about a EEEE
width. I was beginning to think it was alive and
trying to grow into a size 12 or something. Maybe if I
should have quit watering them...

Anyway, shipped them back and with in three days I had
a new set. Beautiful. No problems since.

A year back i bought another pair of "Danner" boots.
They were the most comfortable boots i ever had. I
wore them every day for work. They split at the joint
of the sole and upper.
I emailed Danner and asked about their garentee /
warrenty, and was told no problem just take them back
where you bought them, they will sort it out.
I did so, unfortunately, this is in england where the
shop repeatedly pointed out that "the boots had been
worn" and that "the boots have been walked in" and
"what were they supposed to do". With little more
than ill grace they agreed to have them looked at with
regard to repair-at my expence.
I then emailed Danner and asked for their advice, Boy
was i supprised.....

DANNER REPLIED "WHAT STYLE, WHAT SIZE, WHAT WIDTH
FITTING AND GIVE US YOUR ADDRESS AND WE WILL FED-EX
YOU A NEW PAIR TODAY - ON US. OUR BOOTS SHOULDNT FAIL
AFTER A YEAR THEY SHOULD KEEP ON GOING"

Now thats service from a quality manufacturer.
If any one is after good quality comfortable hiking
boots I gotta recomend DANNER BOOTS
