Chris It is a very nice show. I will probably be there on Saturday with the kids since Steve will be traveling that weekend. I'm hoping to talk a girlfriend into going with me. Take some pocket change some of the venders and tyers can't take a visa and may have some odd supplies or flies you would want. I always spend all my pocket money. I've never tried swapping my flies but I bet you could. There will be a lot of good venders there selling supplies. I think Castle Arms will be there and he carries some of the more rare salmon fly materials. Build up a good relationship with Phil he is a wonderful man and a lot of fun when you get to know him. There is a lot of depth to that man. I really enjoy funning with him he takes good care of me. You can buy everything at the show. Your brother in law would like it. Hello, It looks like I will be going to this show. It will be my first time I have been able to make it. Since I am a newbie at this show, just wondering what should I expect? I have been to big trade shows before like Comdex in Las Vegas, but was wondering what to expect here. Here are a few questions: 1) WHO ON THIS LIST WILL BE GOING? 2) I plan on going on Saturday. I would expect this to be the busiest day. How long will it take to walk the show? 3) Those of you who will have booths, will you be selling things at the show? Will there be a need for cash on hand or will it be demo's primarily? 4) Should I bring a collection of my best flies to have on hand in case I wanted to trade with a tier for a neat pattern that I might find? 5) My brother-in-law is looking for a new floating line. Will companies like Rio, Cortland, Orvis be there? Can you buy lines at the show? (This might be the hook I need to convince him to join me) I hope I am not too nave, but with the swaps and stuff - and this list, I am hoping to meet some of you face to face at this show. Thanks in advance for any replies. Best Regards, Chris Chapman
