This thread reminded me of an article in Fly Tyer magazine from Summer 1998. Title "Special Blends" by Bob Long, Jr. on page 44. Have not tried these personally- but they look good!! Primary ingredient is angora dubbings. Secondary materials are Lite Brite, SLF hanks, and Polare Aire.
A personal dubbling blend I use is 50:50 black haretron:black squirell body fur. Use it for black stone nymphs. Mix in blender, apply with dubbing loop for maximum motion.
