create your own baitfish immitation using a big hook.  Peacock is great for 
baitfish, gives it a very nice natural flash, IMHO.  I also saw flies that 
use whole peacock swords, such as a bluegill pattern, where the sword was 
the spines of the fish.  The rest of the fly seemed to be spun deer hair.  
This was one someone's site in the VFB, and I believe it was tyed by Tony 
Spezio?  Definatly could be wrong, however.

also, saw in a book bass bugs with whole peacock swords acting as legs out 
of the side....so at a 180 degree angle to the hook.

Good afternoon folks. As you all know I got my hands on a lot of peacock 
feathers recently. I spoke with my friend that got the bird in the first 
place and he said the people who owned the bird would like a fly tied from 
the feathers (small price to pay). I would like to do something big and 
flashy for them. Anybody have any suggestions? I've got a couple of 
candidates but like a few more options.
