A streaker is a baitfish pattern that uses whole peacock swords for the back
of the fly. It's a pretty neat fly. There are some old bass flies that use
tiny eye feathers as the wings (Mary Orvis Marbury book). To round it off I
like the Alexandra. There are also New England streamer patterns that use a
lot of peacock and are beautiful to look at. I have made entire streamers
out of peacock feathers.
And of course you could tie "just for fun" ;0)
There is a hummingbird pattern with peacock that was in one of the fly tyer
issues. Then there are the flies on the front of Art of Angling journal Vol
1 issue 3. I'm sure they are up on Schmooklers website somewhere.
