Go to the grocery store.  Go to the soap/cleanser section and get a bottle
of RESOLVE!  Red bottle.  Easy to see.

Spray it on.  Let it sit a minute.  Sponge it up with paper towels.  Repeat.
Repeat.

Works great.

Worst problem is that you may get the carpet looking so clean after it dries
that you'll have to have the whole room cleaned.
