I've used the fabric paint on bucktail, mylar (angel hair and such) and synthetic material like neer-hair. I let each color dry overnight. I will have to get back to you on the brand.

Are you applying the paint to a porous surface (hair, dubbing, etc.) or have you been successful in getting the stuff to stick to a non-porous surface? What brand do you use?
