Thanks for the links... yes I have seen these. I think where the fabric paint material would be superior is that it is a softer material than the hot glue...more give (kind of firm, but rubbery), and if I could find the right mold, it would be much easier to handle and color than hot glue. The color range available would be much superior.

I think a lot of egg patterns could be improved if they weren't made of such hard materials. Soft materials would (in my book) have fewer rejections by the fish.
