I believe this has been discussed before but I’m afraid I wasn’t paying much attention. A friend of mine who is a duck hunter recently bagged some and I got a bunch of feathers (mallard drake and hen, teal, gadwaller, and wood duck) and two sets of wings (mallard and teal). For now, they are all in the freezer ( for a week now). What do I need to do to kill any pests and make them usable and safe for tying?
