I worked at an Auction Company. The owner's son and I went to St. Louis each week and bought antique furniture, etc. loaded it into their big van and hauled it back to the store. Then on Auction night, I was a floor walker/furniture mover and helped the auctioneer recognize bidders.  Lots of fun and I earned $1.00 an hour which was big money back in those days.  One summer I sold Encyclopedia Britannica. Found out I wasn't much of a salesman.  Think I made $200 for the whole summer. :-P   There are lots of part-time jobs available in the summer. Just check the "help wanted" ads in your local newspaper.

Hey everyone,

I know this is off subject but I was wondering what everyone here did for a summer job when they were younger.  I already mow yards and work at a hardware store during the summer but was wondering if anyone knew of any other good jobs for a 16 year old highschool sophomore.  Thanks for your advice
