This is the only wax I use!! Coincidentally it has been the only wax I have ever bought, about 23 years ago when I was 13 and started tying flies.
In fact about a week ago, I picked it up and decided to clean it after many, many years. I keep it upside down and really only take the cover off and on. As a result, some wax builds up on the sides, and over time with multiple reorganizations and countless material scrap, the residual seal takes on a color and texture that is truly a work of art - never replicated identically. I do find this wax indispensable for Hare's Ear and other guard hair dubbing work. Rope dubbing is good to, but when I need a shag thorax, Loop and Wonderwax has no substitute. PS: I am thinking about a Striper Swap. Anyone interested? Anyone no about a Striper Conclave in the Northeast this year? Thanks, Chris.
